Should I get new OB?

Question

I have a subchorionic hemmorage, discovered at 5weeks, I'm about 12weeks now. I've had gushes of bright red blood and the baby has been fine, I've spotted brown blood for weeks now.

Today I started having light cramping and a little more brown blood with small clots.

I called my OB and he said there's nothing he can do anyways so to wait until my appointment in 5 weeks....

Same OB who told me to drink as much caffeine as I want...

Who doesn't want to do a ultrasound until I'm 24 weeks along...

I'm scared and freaking out... Idk if things are ok or not and I won't find out for 5 weeks...

Get a new one!!! Your current one sounds awful, and not very comforting or knowledgeable!

Also if you're hemorrhaging, please get to the ER!!

Ummm find another doctor......I was the same way bleeding like crazy. I've been in the ER 3times for the same thing (bleeding) OB said I was fine nothing to be worried about😕. My aunt works for a high risk doc who told me I was likely to have a miscarriage if I didn't go on bed rest. I went on bed rest for about 3weeks and the bleeding stopped. I'm 18 weeks now. Please take it easy and rest. Hope everything goes well

If it makes you feel better then yes. The caffeine is poor advice but your on is right. There really is nothing they can do about about the bleeding. If they don't want to see you for an ultrasound until 24w I'd take it as a positive sign that they are confident everything is ok. If it makes you feel better to get a second opinion or find a new doctor definitely do it! You want to trust and feel safe with your provider, always.
