Cleaning baby's tongue?

Question

Any moms out there who clean your baby's tongue? I've never heard of it but my three week old has a thick coating of milk on her tongue. (It's not thrush and ped says its normal but it's way thicker now). Any tips on an easy way to get rid of it? She didn't take too kindly to me trying to wipe it away.

Are you sure it's not thrush or something of the like?!

It def looks like thrush! And being that  thick I'd be suprised if it's not on the inside of her cheeks too! If it's truly not thrush.. You could try an infant tooth brush?

It looks like thrush to me too but if you and your pediatrician don't believe that's what it is you can try this.

I personally believe good oral care starts before the teeth come in and used it for my son. Now that he has teeth he doesn't fight me when it comes to brushing his teeth too so that's a bonus. It also feels good on their little gums when they are teething :)

I'm not too happy with her current ped but getting in to see another one is gonna take a month. I'm suspecting thrust now to since I've noticed her breath smells like yeast! It does scrape off easy and it looks better now that I took a warm wash cloth to it. But the only white I see on other parts of her mouth is the pieces that have come off and are kind of floating around in her mouth.
