Yeast infection?? Or what??

Question

So Im not completely sure on how you acquire a yeast infection, but I've had sex with one guy, a few times, but as of right now I'm not sexually active. The last time we had sex was almost 2 weeks ago, and tonight the inside of my vaginal lips were red and a little itchy, almost inflamed and it's irritating. I have no discharge, could it still be a yeast infection? I've never had one or this feeling, please help!!!

Organic, unfiltered, Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV) is amazing!

In addition to using ACV for its several other benefits, for the past 4 or so years I have used ACV to maintain my vaginal health and have not had a yeast infection or any other vaginal infection since.

There are different ways to use ACV for a yeast infection but my favorite is an ACV bath.  
Add 2cups of ACV to a hot/warm bath and soak in it for at least 15-20 minutes.
When you have a yeast infection it is recommended to do this twice a day every day until the infection is gone.  I know that's not practical for everyone and know people who have had success when bathing only once a day, it takes longer though.  
Once my infection was gone, I continued soaking in an ACV bath at least 2-4 times a month, I try for once a week.  Currently, I done have access to a bathtub so I simply mix the water and ACV in a bowl and use a clean cloth with that water/ACV mixture to cleans the "outer areas".

Some benefits of ACV for vaginal health:
-- restores the pH level of the vagina and prevents yeast from thriving and re-infecting 
-- one of nature's strongest anti-biopics; kills bacteria, viruses, Protozoa 
-- recolonizes the vagina with "good" bacteria 
-- contains enzymes that kill excess yeast

A vaginal yeast infection is caused by an overgrowth of candida (yeast organisms) that live in the vagina. Yes, you CAN definitely both give and get a yeast infection from unprotected sex (in addition to all other sti's and std's).  The overgrowth of candida can also be the result of taking antibiotics, high estrogen levels, diabetes, an impaired immune system,  corticosteroids (prednisone), and weight

You usually have a lot of itching and experience whitish, thick, and sometimes chunky dischcharge that is odorless, pain when urinating, inflammation (redness) of the labia, and pain during sex.

However, the symptom you described, red/inflamed vagina, can also be symptoms of many other infections as well as allergies or sensitivities.

I'm going to add another comment below with info of how to treat a yeast infection but it's also good for overall vaginal health.  Some people have also used it for other problems :)
