First Meltdown Once Home with Baby

Jennifer
My third baby was born late Thursday. We came home yesterday so last night was our first night together at home.  She has been nursing and getting that colostrum great so far. My full milk still hasn't come in. Last night she nursed for a good hour before bed on both sides. So she was snuggled up and ready for bed.
It started at midnight, we went down at 11:30. She was hangry and wanted to nurse. I tried to feed from both sides. My nipples were so very sore. She was just getting more and more upset. I finally started crying and asked my hubby to make a 2oz Newborn Enfamil. I felt horrible, like a total failure. I mean this is baby #3. My body knows what to do, she latched on great, what happened??
After a restless night of her using me as a human pacifier, I let her daddy give her a bottle this morning. She only took 1oz but it allowed me to treat my poor nipples and hydrate to build up some milk for her next feeding. Her sleep pattern is reversed so that will take a bit to work out.
Sorry so long. Thanks for letting me vent a bit. Sleep deprivation makes for emotional mama, even if it is the third time around.
