Smoking while pregnant?

I've been trying to quit, but it's so much harder than I thought it would be. I've cut down, but I just wanted some real life advice from mommy's who have smoked while they were pregnant and their experiences with it

If you're a heavy smoker it's actually best not to quit cold turkey, just slowly cut down. Try vaping with no nicotine if you like the feeling of the smoke in your throat.

I stopped smoking cold turkey as soon as I found out I was pregnant. I've had a few cravings here and there but there is absolutely no way I'd pick a cigarette back up while I'm pregnant. For me, it was a no brainer decision because part of what I do as a career involves educating women on the dangers of smoking while pregnant. Good luck on quitting/cutting back and remember your health care provider is a valuable resource to help should you want to stop =]

I smoked with my kids I just cut down a lot. Nothing ever happened to the kids while I smoked with them. They were all 7lbs and healthy. Trying my hardest to quit with this baby. Down to 2 a day.

I smoked while pregnant with my 6 year old. Cut down a lot of course. He hasn't had any problems so far. When I found out I was pregnant memorial day of this year hubby was really adamant about me quitting. I ended up losing the baby. He thinks it was the smoking and I think it was the stress. I started vaping about a month ago and I love it. I haven't had a cigarette since. I would suggest that. Cause I'll be real nobody is perfect and nicotine is a hell of an addiction. I have the same issue. I been trying to cut down but being under stress makes it worse on cutting down as I tend to use smoking as a stress relief method.  My advise that I have found to help is anytime you want to smoke try to chew gum, eat something and keep ur mind and hands busy. I smoke with 5 of my kids and nothing was wrong with them all born happy and healthy. Good luck sweetie

When i was pregnant I stopped right away .. But if i did get cravings I use cherry carmex in the tube. I constantly was putting that stuff on. For me I found the menthol in it helped curb the craving. Try it!
