Kissing your child on the lips ?

The other day I watched a news story about how some mothers find it gross and wrong for other parents, father or mother, to kiss their sons/daughters on the lips as it causes for them to have 'sexual stimulation' at such a young age. Personally I thought this was a bunch of bullsh*t. Would love to hear other views x 
*not a full make out session or anything obviously. The news report was literally talking about a small peck.

My parents never kissed us on the lips but I don't see anything wrong with it...especially at a young age. If you see a parent kiss their child on the lips, and your response is "that's sexual," please reevaluate yourself✋

That's ridiculous. If my baby want to give me a kiss I'll take it an be happy that she can show me her love just the way she wants. It has nothing to do with sexual stimulation. Children don't think like adults. They don't even know what sex is.

Totally ridiculous. There's nothing wrong with a little kiss on the lips. Obviously it's gross if the kiss lasts a little too long or something but most parents aren't trying to be sexual with their kids. Whoever thought this up seems to be the real perv.

All I ever remember is cheek kisses in my house growing up but I'm sure my mom gave me pecks on the lips at some point in time when I was little. I'm ok with kissing my girls good night or goodbye they are 3, 6 and 8 but I prefer to kiss my 8 year old on the cheek or forehead. But at the same time I would never say anything negative about it to her if she kissed me on the lips before I thought of turning my head to give her my cheek instead. There are some really sick ppl out there. Some people seem to think it's just not ok for anyone to physically show their children love because it will turn into something perverted.

A kiss isn't even a sexual thing until the child has grown up. It's an easy and effective way of showing affection to a child. Something they can do and understand at a very young age. Great for bonding. I wouldn't let just anyone put their lips on my baby but I definitely plan to kiss my little Toby all the time.

My family is a kissing family. Both sides have always given pecks on the lips when saying goodbye, sometimes in greeting too depending on the person. I see absolutely nothing wrong with it. I mean, if you are prolonging it or something like that, that's a problem but a quick peck isn't anything to get all upset about. I never ever felt like it was a sexual thing and honestly never really thought about it. Now, if the child doesn't want to or says something to that effect, then you should immediately stop but otherwise, what's the big deal?

It's a bond between the parents and the child. If there's no prolonged kissing, then it's okay!
It's also a bond between siblings too as I have God brothers, one is five and the other is 18 months, they both DEMAND a kiss when I put them to bed and sometimes they steal one but it's not full on pashing. It actually shows trust and love. People are just complaining about pointless things now.
