Just because you have  regular periods doesn't mean you are ovulating when you think, unless you are charting to pinpoint when you ovulate. Nursing (or postpartum in general!) can cause shorter luteal phases (time between ovulation and start of period) in the beginning until hormones regulate out, which can cause issues conceiving if your luteal phase isn't at least 10 days long.

Nope I conceived my second way quicker than my first and I was nursing on demand.
