Transverse lie

Orla
Hi girls, so this morning I went to my gp for my 38 week check up. Ended up getting sent into the hospital with elevated bp and protein in the urine, when I got into the hospital bp was fine and no protein found however they noticed the baby has moved from a head down position to a transverse lie across my belly. I've been admitted to the hospital incase my waters break as I've been told there's a chance if they did that the cord could come first which they don't want. So I've been told my options are wait for baby to turn into the correct position on its own, wait for my waters to break and have an emergency section or wait until my due date in two weeks and have an elective section. Bit worried that if the baby does change position and I'm sent home that it could move again into a transverse lie. Even though i didnt want a section at all feeling at the minute that I'd rather just have an elective now but don't think they'll do that. Anyone ever deal with this before?
