Am I still miscarrying?

This was my first pregnancy. It ended around 5 and a half weeks. I went to the ER 5 days ago for light spotting. They told me based on my blood results and ultrasound it was consistent with miscarriage. Soon after leaving I started bleeding heavier and the following day passing large clots. Blood flow stayed similar to a period. Yesterday things felt like it was starting to slow down but today I'm bleeding heavy again and passing clots. Am I still technically miscarrying now 5 days later?  I keep playing phone tag with my doctor about when I should be seen for a follow up.
