Do you think it's okay if to look through your boyfriend's phone if you have been dating for 6 months? My boyfriend thinks I look through his cell phone when he gets a text and gets mad.. now it's making me wonder. What do you think?

I've been with my husband almost 5 years and I've never looked through his phone. I trust him, so I don't feel the need to invade his privacy. If I was concerned enough with who he was talking to and what he was doing enough to go through his phone, I would just talk to him.

I go through my bfs phone because he deleted some texts from an ex. I don't care if he gets pissy, if he he wants to surprise me with something he will tell me, "don't check messages from so-and-so, I want some privacy and it's something about you."

I'm married (over 3 years together) and don't go through my husband's phone. I know all his passwords though and he knows mine. I ask to use it from time to time if my phone isn't near. He also tells me to check texts for him/answer calls, so no need to snoop here. It's all about trust and communicating. I don't think it's okay to go through someone else's phone. Not unless you have other definitive proof something is going on and you're proving your point with his phone as evidence while kicking him to the curb.

Don't do it, it's not worth it. You will probably see something on there that you may not like and maybe take it out of context. If he wants to chat with people. Just let him, if you actually see him cheating with your own 2 eyes then let him go but having a text conversation is not a big deal, if he has pictures of other woman on his phone I would say that's a big deal but just trust that he ain't do anything. Itll save you a fight and as well your man:)

This is coming from experience but if you do end up looking through his phone, it's a sign that you can't trust him. My boyfriend of almost 2 years did it and not we are married and he still does it and I absolutely hate it. it's not because I have anything to hide, it's the fact that after 2 YEARS he still show no respect or trust for me and it's really hard but I keep telling him "babe, you have got to get to a point where u no longer need to look through my texts, Facebook, snapchat, Instagram, ect. To believe what I'm saying. It's very frustrating
