Look for swings that you can plug in. Batteries can get expensive when you use the swing a lot. Also, I found one that rocks side to side and front and back. Some babies prefer one way over the other.

definitely try to find one that swings side to side. yes babies sometimes prefer one, and forward and back made my twin cousins spit up, so they had to switch side to side just so they could hold their food down

We have the Fisher-Price Cradle n Swing. It's super comfy. She loves it. The seat adjusts, so it can be like this little bowl that envelopes them in comfyness. Or it can sit up for when they want to look around. And then you can turn the chair so that it goes side to side or front to back. And it has a cord that comes with it so you can plug it in instead of using batteries. The only thing, is its kinda big when it's set up. But it doesn't bother me.

Our daughter loves the Rockaroo! It plugs in so no batteries and it is light and portable so it can easily be moved from room to room. Also you can plug your phone or any device into it to play music or white noise to help calm or entertain your little one.
