Currently on IUD, wanting to switch to pill

I'm currently on the IUD, but my acne has been getting horrible to the point where I want to switch to the pill. I've heard so many brands of the pill that can cause depression, weight gain, all month spotting and so on. What are some suggestions that can help with acne tremendously with minimal side effects so I can recommend it to my doctor?
