Birth control bleeding?

I just started birth control about 2 weeks ago and after taking it a few days I started my period but I never stopped having my period. I'm still bleeding and it's been like 11 days. I'm not heavy at all but still. I did have unprotected sex but he didn't cum in me just in case it wasn't effective but idk.
