How much do you spend per child for the holidays?

A few days ago there was a conversation on a military wives page I'm a part of about how much everyone spends per child for the holidays. Some ladies were moderat $50-$100 but others say they go all out spending $800+ per child!  So out of curiosity how much do you spend?

Honestly I don't count. I buy things through the year instead of all at once.

I don't spend anything on gifts for my niece. I fly to visit her and take her to do things I know she wants to do, and I knit, so she gets lots of cute knitted stuff for her and miniature knitted clothes and toys for her stuffed animals.

He's two, so he is still interested more in the big boxes and wrapping paper. Both sets of grandparents also buy him pretty big gifts, so we get him a few little things just so he has toys under the tree. When he get older, I would like to focus more on charities and those people in need, and less about toys.

My son's bday is December 21. He usually gets most gifts on his birthday and one on Christmas or vice versa. This baby is due Jan 14, so Christmas will take a back seat to their birthdays. They'll get some small stuff and one big thing more than likely. I can't say price range for sure.

With my 2boys I spend around 600$ but this year I'm going to spend 300$ and take them to the great wolf lodge which is 300$ a night

We splurge for Christmas! We don't buy ANYTHING during the year and birthdays they get cash. I'd say about $300 per child.

We have 25 nieces and nephews to buy for so this year is the last year we are going all out for the kids we spend about 50$ per kid next year only 20$ but our own kids would get more

We usually do $150 each, but my son didn't get his usual allocated bday $ so instead he can get a more expensive gift for Christmas. We still got him a game for his bday though cause it felt weird not giving him anything. We pick names amongst my siblings for our nieces and nephews and its usually $50-$100 some years.

When I grew up it was about $100-150 for each kid. For my daughter  I don't think I would spend more than $100.
