Frustrated

So my husband just found out he may be losing his job next week. We have a 12 year old and a baby due in January. My frustration is he has felt for at least 6 months his boss was trying to get rid of him, for any little thing, and I told him then to find another job. He got complacent and thought he was "flying under the radar" until yesterday. I work a full time job but there is no way my income can support all of the bills we have(especially not 2 car payments) along with Christmas coming and my sons birthday at the end of the month I'm just super angry. Why would he wait knowing they were trying to can him. Now he is walking around looking sad and every positive piece of inspiration or motivation I give him he just shuns away like " you don't understand". Anyone else been through trying financial times while expecting? I needs words of encouragement please
