Really concerned , cord around neck ? :(

Does it look like his cord is around his neck :(

I had a 4d scan yesterday, wish I never had now. Although his movements were really good and kicked me throughout scan. I couldn't help but notice his cord looks like it's around his neck. The sonographer said its floating infront of him. I asked her around 4-5 times because to me it looks like it's around his neck. Should I be concerned about this ? :/ I've attached some photos

Update - went to the Triage at labour and delivery unit they have booked me in for a proper medical scan in a couple of days time and they said that cord round the neck is common. They also really hate when people go for 4d scans.

It's really okay and common for babies to be born with the cord around the neck. My baby was born with the cord wrapped around twice, my midwife was just able to slip it off right away. Doctors and midwives know how to handle it. When first born, baby is still getting oxygen from the cord so if it can't use it's lungs the first few seconds it will be okay. I know it sounds scary, but it sounds way more scary than it actually is.

Was this ultrasound done at a dr's office or hospital or was it done at one of those private ultrasound places? Because a lot of those people at those private ultrasound facilities are not trained to spot our problems. Basically they just let you see your baby and can detect gender and stuff like that. If this wasn't done at a medical facility, I would definitely go see my OB just for peace of mind. But like one lady said, babies wrap themselves up in their cords all of the time!

Cord is loosely near his neck. Not around it. Please look at my pic too. I'm so stressed as well. Tech didn't say anything but its scaring the shit out of me.

How far along are you? Babies wrap and unwrap themselves around the cord in the womb all the time. If you're still concerned ask for second opinion from dr.

I would ask a doctor.  I know I wouldn't sleep well until I did.  I'm sure it's nothing since the tech said so, but she should have offered the doc look at it if you were really worried.. Even just to make you feel better about it

If you're concerned bring it up with your doctor. A woman I know went in two hours before her c-section because baby wasn't moving much Drs said it was fine and at the c-section they found the baby had passed away from the chord being wrapped around its neck twice only an hour before the surgery. Our daughters cord was around her neck at birth too it's definitely scary.

I think if it was around his neck and he was in danger they would say something. The main reason for ultrasounds is to check on the baby and identify concerns.
