What if my baby doesn't like it's name?

Growing up, my brother always hated his name. So much, that when he joined the junior volunteer fire department, the whole town started calling him junior! 
I'm nervous this will happen with my child. How do you know what name will for your child perfectly?

You just cannot predict. One way to ensure you don't give the kid a name that would be embarrassing is the Starbucks test: next time you're at Starbucks, give the barista the name you're considering rather than your own. How did it feel?

My friend adopted kids from Russia and gave them their original Russian first names and more American middle names and let them
Pick which they wanted to use. And hey, if they hate all their names then they can help pick a nickname once they're old enough to care. But you have to call them something :)

You don't. If they genuinely hate their name then be a supportive parent and give them the option to go by their middle name or change it.

My mum named my first son Drew, he's now 12 and always tells me how he hates his name. He never uses in on his computer games, football tops or anything.

I hated my name growing up I always went around saying call me Julia lol I don't know why I liked that name so much. But now I like my name.

I HATED my first name growing up and insisted on people calling me by my first middle name (Riki) up until I was a teenager.  Now I don't mind it anymore,  and actually introduce myself by it. I worry if my kid will like their name too, but if they don't tough luck. They can change it when they're of age haha.

I hated my name growing up too, especially my middle name, but now I love it and think it's really pretty. Even considered passing on my middle name for our baby girl's middle name, but we are having a boy.
