I had my baby shower yesterday, it was amazing! However without even thinking about it I was on my feet all day. I sat occasionally but not enough I don't think. I'm already measuring 42+ weeks so when I started to feel back pain I chalked it down to being up all day and being big. That night about 6 pm I really felt horrible. Flu like symptoms and horrendous back pain. I got in a bath and it helper for a minute but not long. I finally told my husband we needed to go to the hospital. My dr is 45 minutes away and in the time it took us to get there I had 12 contractions. When I got hooked up to the monitor they were coming every 2-3 minutes and the back pain wasnt letting up. I had to stay the night on antibiotics and a smooth muscle relaxer (which I have to continue at home). Good news is I wasn't dilating and the babies were fine. I got to come home today on bedrest until Thursday, when I follow up with my dr to see about resuming activity as long as the contractions have stayed away. Please send me prayers and positive vibes! I was so scared and still am! Thank you ladies for the support!
