To much?

Question

Had a very active day today, then went on a mile walk, my stomach was hurting and was almost rock hard and I was feeling nauseous, stomach isn't rock hard anymore but still pretty nauseous I'm 24 weeks today...thinking maybe I over did it today?

As a nurse and waitress, yeah you probably overdid it. I decided to stay away from nursing while pregnant because of the sick people, and switched over to waitressing thinking it would be a fast paced, but safer option for myself and baby. Wellllllll, little did I know that working 13 hour shifts lifting 40lb trays of food back and forth to tables were part of the job lol. Near the end of every shift I would start to feel my belly harden(I didn't know at the time but it was contractions). One night I pushed myself way too hard, and the next morning I started to bleed. I had a uterine tear and minimal partially detached placenta. Thankfully they were both minor enough to fix themselves with a week of light activity, and baby was fine, but it could have been much much worse.

So what I'm getting at here is listen to your body and stop when you need to. If you work a demanding job, don't e afraid to stand up for yourself and say no when you know it's too much for your body. I don't waitress anymore, I just started hosting actually at the same restaurant, and I'm a lot less stressed and A LOT safer. So just be careful.
