Does primrose oil work?

What are your experiences and how did you take it? How long afterwards did you give birth or loose plugs ? Do you take it after loosening the plug? Bad for baby? Thanks!

My doctor actually recommended inserting it every night starting at 36 weeks to prevent tearing. I forget most nights but I only cut a hole in the "pill" and kinda squeeze it in. I don't stick the pill in me, I throw it out after I shoot the liquid in. I think I am actually doing this wrong and maybe this way isn't even beneficial. Idk. 😳

I would also like to know this! Basically what I want to know is the risks to the baby orally. I've tried inserting some vaginally last night but too afraid what it would do to my baby if oral.

I used it with my second child because I got induced with my first after not dilating on my own. I took it orally for a few weeks and then around 38 weeks I would like a hole in the tablets and insert them vaginally at night. I still went a week overdue (though an improvement over 11 days overdue with my first) but I did go into labor on my own! I haven't started them yet for this one but will a bit before my due date.
