I got a mamaroo for $35. I'd say the biggest splurge is his pack n play. I got the one with the snuggle suite from babies r us that's $189 but I got it for $145 with coupons/rewards.

My splurge will be the umbrella stroller. Everything so far has been on sale, secondhand, or given to us. I wanted the mamaroo but I got the rockaroo instead because I scored it for 1/2 off... With my other 2 I had a maclaren umbrella stroller and it has been the absolute best gear I've bought. I could actually still use it this time around but I figure it's lasted me 9 years so it's time for an upgrade ;)
