Evening Primrose Oil?

Question

How many of you ladies used Evening Primrose oil and how did you use it? I'll be 36 weeks tomorrow and want to start taking it? How was your experience with it and when did you start taking it?

I started at 37 weeks inserting one or two at night and I take them in the morning and night when I remember. I'm 39 weeks now and last my doc checked she said 70% effaced and that my body is doing everything it should to prep for labor so I'm happy so far :)

I started taking it at 38 weeks with my second daughter and my water broke two days later.

My dr preferred for me not to take it. But definitely do not take black cohosh or castor oil if you're trying to start labor. Both can have negative effects

I took it vaginally and had contractions at 38 weeks but it stopped by morning. My mucus plug fell out two days later though.

I heard not to take it towards the end of pregnancy because it enduces labor...unless that's what you want it for...I used it for fertility and to bring my uterus back to health, seemed to work great for me.
