When to Plan a Baby Shower?

April 21st is our due date, but not sure on when we should have a baby shower. Any tips?

Around 7 months in is good. You know the sex of the baby ( if you want to) also. And your not too tired or huge at that point....

I'm due April 18th. Having my shower end of January, it's a boring month and will give me extra time to purchase things I didn't get at the shower.

I'm due April 5th, but may get induced in March, at 37 weeks, because I'm a high risk for preeclampsia and preterm birth, so just to be safe we are doing a Valentine's Day weekend shower with a girly pink love theme💖💐☺️

I've been trying to decide. I won't know gender until early December, but don't want my shower so close to Christmas. I'm not sure what a good time is. Maybe I'll ask my family their opinion.

I live far from family and my sister is also pregnant (a month apart) we're going to have a combined shower around Christmas time. My aunts want to throw one. I really don't know who will come to it for me besides family, though. All my friends live near me, not my family (planes away). This is more for my family than for us, anyway :)

You do whatever works for you and your family. Our baby shower is November 15th and I'm due April 3rd. The military won't let my husband take time off after Christmas and we can't justify asking family to buy baby shower gifts on top of Christmas gifts. We're doing the best we can with what we have. I'll only be 20 weeks at the shower but it's the best we can do.
