IUD insertion pain???

Does the IUD hurt to get inserted? If so, does the fact whether you've lost your virginity or not effect the insertion pain?

IUD is usually inserted under anaesthetics, and you will not feel the pain after the procedure 👍🏻 I don't think whether you have had sex or not doesn't affect the procedure either :)

My OB gives me a dose of cytotec, it's a drug that can dilate your cervix a little. I have an undersized uterus, vagina, and cervix so insertion usually hurts so bad I get knocked out.

You can ask if taking 800mg of ib prophen a few hours before hand would be a good idea, plus any additional drugs that may make it easier.

Sexual intercourse doesn't affect your cervix unless you've contracted an STD, had a baby or had anything that can change the shape of your cervix.
