Loss of a pregnancy

I had a loss of a pregnancy 4 weeks ago. I had to have a d n c done. 2 weeks and 3 days afterwards I had unprotected sex and was not supposed to have sex just yet. I also had sex on the 4th and 7th with my mate. On the 30th I took a pregnancy test to make sure the hormones were gone out of my system and the test came back negative. After I had sex on the 2nd I took a test 10 days later with the first response PT and it came back positive. Could this possibly from my previous pregnancy or is the test picking up a new pregnancy?
