When did you tell your families?

I'm 4 weeks 5 days and my husband is dying to tell our parents.  I want to wait till our first ultrasound on Nov 9 but I feel bad forbidding him to tell; after all, it's his kid too!

We could swear our parents to secrecy and they would PROBABLY honor it, but sometimes people let things slip accidentally...

When did you tell your parents/siblings?

I couldn't hold it in anymore so we told everyone at 5 weeks. This is the first baby for us, the first grandchild for both of us and the first great grandchild for several of our families. If I do miscarry, it is something we would share with our family and friends (I couldn't keep that in and/or pretend it never happened). Why suffer alone as though I am ashamed when miscarriage happens and is apart of life. Also, my family and friends will be super supportive if that does happen.... Which is what I would need. It is truly a personal choice that has to feel right to the both of you. Our first appointment is in 2 weeks and I am just praying we have a healthy little baby in there. Good luck darling!

No way would I tell anyone until after 12 weeks and that is the absolute earliest.

I really want to tell my mum but I am scared as this is baby no5. I know she will be happy but I also know I will get the whole are you sure you can cope ( I have 2 boys with adhd). Think I might wait until my first scan but don't know if I can keep quiet for another 6 weeks ( don't get scans in UK before 12 weeks unless there is a problem)

With our first we waited until 12 weeks to tell anybody I'm pregnant with my second and after we get our first ultrasound we might tell people.

I told my family ( parents and siblings) at 4 weeks and my SO told his parents a few days later . We miscarried last year so i want to enjoy this pregnancy for as long as it last with the people we love 💖 never know what'll happen tomorrow
