Surprise induction!
I am soooo nervous. So I'm 39w + 3d and today I went to the dr with lower back pain & swollen ankles. Apparently my BP is pretty high compared to how it's been during my pregnancy.. They decided to schedule me for induction in 2 days (would have done it for tomorrow morning but they already have an induction scheduled). I am so nervous. I have not heard very positive stories about pitocin and being induced. Today they also sent me for blood work and while nothing came up alarming they still want me to go to the birthing center tomorrow to have my BP checked & to see how the baby is doing... Depending on how that goes they may just keep me overnight until my induction the next morning. I also have to collect all of my urine tomorrow in a jug 😁 I am afraid just all of this news is making me anxious and that alone will cause a rise in my BP. Anyone go through something similar? I am freaking out and could really use some words of encouragement. I'm excited to meet my daughter but I'm soooo afraid of giving birth now. 😓😓😓
