So yesterday I had my membrane stripped I'm 39 weeks is this normal sorry don't mean to gross anyone out but it's very clumpy never had this done just want to make sure or is this my mucus plug?

I had my membranes swept twice. I think it's normal but I would check with your Dr if I were you. Just give them a call, describe your problem, they will know what to do. Remember, they are use to this and expect it so don't worry about bugging them. Good luck and Congratulations!!! Baby is on the way!! Yay!!

It's most likely old blood and mucous from your sweep. You will know when you lose your mucous plug, it's not like regular discharge, I was sure I would miss it and thought every large amount of discharge would be my plug. And then I actually lost it, no mistaking it and there will be fresh -pink or red blood with your plug.

I had my membrane stripped two days ago and yesterday I had the same thing happen to me but mine had more of a brownish and normal discharge look to it And a glob. I called my nurse to make sure it was my mucus plug and she said it was and not to worry about it unless I start having regularly contractions or my water breaks then go to the hospital. This is a TMI picture but mine looked like this.

It's not a mucus plug, mucus plug is green/ slimy like snot. Never had a membrane sweep so not sure, but definitely not mucus plug
