Baby cries with dad?

My little girl is 6 weeks. She is fine with me, but as soon as her dad gets her, she cries. I know it bothers him, but he keeps trying to bond with her. I tell him it will get better. Is anyone else experiencing this??

At this stage, it has a lot to do with smell. Drape one of your shirts over his shoulder while he holds her. And put spring of his on you. This will help baby know that his scent is good too!

My baby was like this. It does get better but I'm still the only one who can really calm her down. I stay at home with her and she is ebf.

Don't let him hand her off to you when she cries if he does.
He just needs to find his own way to soothe her.

It'll get better. My husband was the only one you could get my daughter to fall asleep at night. And she loved being held by him. Now she's a huge mommas girl. She still loves her daddy, but she prefers me most of the time.

I totally have this problem too! In our case though it actually is his own fault. He doesnt try to bond. He comes home from working all day and goes downstairs with his friends all night until hes ready for bed and then its still me that gets up with her at night. When he actually is upstairs with us its still me taking care of her 99% of the time. That other 1% shes either in her swing so i can go to the bathroom or hes holding her she cries and he just gets frustrated because he doesn't know how to calm her down so i have to take her back. So its me with her literally 24/7.

It gets better. Baby can sense that daddy isn't you. My hubby's words "he already has the no one can touch me but mama cry" my son is 3 weeks. I think it's also harder bc im breastfeeding too once they can recognize people it is better

I am with one of my twin girls it started when he went back to work after a couple weeks it's so sad to watch. All you can do is keep having him spend time with the baby and do more things that you do with them also. My fiancé used to do everything with them I did till he started working again then it's like they got used to depending on me for almost everything.
