Best liner material?

Megan • Pregnant with babies #2&3 after a long (8 years) road with IVF and 4 miscarriages. Ready to enjoy these 9 months!
Wondering what is the best material for liners/inserts? Hoping for absorbent and not too bulky. I've seen cotton, hemp, bamboo... What is the benefit to charcoal?
TIA

Hemp for inserts and fleece liners

Charcoal absorbs quickly & holds a lot. Hemp probably holds the most. Bamboo is trim & absorbent. Microfiber works for some people but I've known more who hate it than love it (myself included). Personally I used a charcoal closest to my baby and a 3-layer bamboo or hemp under that. Infallible!

FST's are supposed to be great. Added to other inserts. Also, I hear micro fleece is good at pulling moisture away.

I made all mine and they're a combination of unbleached terrycloth and bamboo / organic cotton sandwiched in between

Hemp is the "cadillac" of inserts! Very absorbent.
