Has anyone else eloped? Feelings about it?

I just eloped with my best friend after 5 years of dating! It was just me, my fiancé, my best friend and my older sister. I didn't want the stress of planning a huge get together. Has anyone else done this on a whim?

I wish I could relive my wedding over and over again,  I would regret it if I eloped.

I've never dreamed of a wedding, I have severe anxiety and just the thought of walking down the aisle in front of everyone tore me up. I joke with my husband and tell him that he lucked out!

Yes! Mine was even more casual haha. And no witnesses! And I don't give one shit what anyone thinks - it was still *my* wedding day, still one of the happiest days of my life. Zero regrets.

My husband and I got married on June 20th and to this day I sti wish we had eloped with just his family there my family was a nightmare very one had their own opinions on how my wedding should be at the end the only thing for my wedding that I picked out wa my husband out pastor and my dress everything else was planned by my family but not paid for by my family his famil paid for just about everything I to this day and will forever wish we had eloped

We were going to elope but then I realized I would have regretted not having a pretty dress and sharing that moment with our families, but I'll be honest after the stress and spending so much money I wish we did just go to the courthouse! 😂😂

It was me him 2 friends and the preacher who was also a friend. I just had our second child and didnt want the stress. We didnt even have a hunnymoon..
