Is this my punishment?

Question

When I was 11 years old I made a promise to God that I wouldn't have sex until marriage. When I was in college I broke that promise. Now I am married and we are trying to have a baby. Today I found out that I have a precancerous lesion on my cervix. I'm scared that I'll never be able to have kids now. Is this my punishment?

No, I mean put it this way, if you were genuinely sorry about it and tried to correct it by say abstaining or staying away from men and you said sorry to God and truly meant it, then the bible says Repent and God will put your sins so far away from you. So I highly doubt that God would be punishing you because you made a mistake, clearly your sorry about it. I heard a saying somewhere that "God isn't saying NO he is saying 'Not now' there may be a reason God doesn't want you having children right now. When it does happen it will be the exact right time in your life for it to happen, you need to let God do it in his time not yours. As much as you want a baby you may just have to hold off a little longer. A little way down the road the reason God isn't giving you a baby at this moment may become clear to you and it will all make sense. It did to me. I wanted a baby for 5 years before I actually fell pregnant with mine and believe me God waited for the perfect time and I wouldn't have had it any other way.

It's easy to assume that difficulties that we go through are in some way a punishment for our sins. When I got diagnosed with PCOS I had a long period of time where I fixated on the things I had done wrong and felt like I was finally paying for my mistakes. God doesn't operate in that way. I think Hardship is always purposeful, and that there is always something to learn; it might not be apparent right away. Having PCOS has given me empathy, the virtue of patience, a closer relationship with God than ever before, a stronger relationship with my husband, and finally letting go of my resistance to accept help. I would have never asked God for PCOS; but so much good has come from it and I wouldn't change a thing. I hope that a similar realization comes for you. I will certainly be praying for you! Just some words of encouragement..I to had that but I have two healthy boys :) TTC baby number three...continue with your doctors and always keep God first he knows we will fail him over and over again..we are born into sin

Aww I'm sorry to hear that. God does not wish that people have any form of sickness or infirmity in their body . God is a loving God and not using this as an excuse but he knows you were young and we tend to make God promises throughout our lives that we tend not to keep . As you get older and gain understanding on who God really  is , then you will learn to only maintain a promise is by him helping us , with his strength not ours alone . Just pray and ask for forgiveness and  he is very merciful . Jesus took 39 stripes to his body for you to live a prosperous and healed life . Anything of that nature comes from the enemy it's his job to steal , kill and destroy . But you are an overcomes and have the victory ! Exercise your faith, do you believe the word of a doctor over what the word of God says about you. The bible says that God says he's wishes above all things that you prosper and be in good health just as your soul prospers! Don't receive that word curse into your spirit! Seek the lords guidance and have faith the size of a mustard seed that you are healed! I was diagnosed when I was 16 years old and I'll be 19 next month that I had cervical cancer and wouldn't have children. But my God is greater. The cancer is gone and I'm expecting my 1st child!!!

It's not God punishing at all. He does not punish. He is a loving and kind God. I had the vaccines 10 years ago and still ended up with precancerous lesions (called dysplasia) on my cervix too. They were the worst they could be before turning to cancer. I usually get a yearly pap but I missed one year and am thankful I didn't miss another. I had a colposcopy done to freeze the spots away. That was in May and I just had my repeat pap to see if they are gone. Waiting is tough but I know this is all in God's hands and He will see me through anything. I pray yours aren't the grade 3 that mine were and that you conceive your miracle soon 💜

I'm still TTC #1 but I also have endometriosis and that's what is delaying us. I just have to trust it will happen in God's time 💜

My mom had this they cut that piece of her cervix out. She went on to have my sister who is 2 now (20 years younger then me). Keep your faith he has a plan!

No. Stuff happens. God doesn't send cancer to punish you. He sent his son to save you. He is there with you. Be thankful it was found early and trust in him.
