Sleeping on right side?

Question

Is it safe to sleep on your right side during your third trimester? Ive heard either side is fine but your left is best because the baby gets more nutrients. My left hip is killing me 😣

I do it. I have to switch sides during the night because if I lay on one side too long it makes my hip on that side hurt =/

The baby gets more blood flow when you sleep on the left, but you're not going to do damage sleeping on the right. We are all so uncomfortable at that point, that I say however you can get comfortable, do it. Your body will tell you when there's an issue. :)

I could only sleep on my right side due to having major surgery on my left shoulder right before getting pregnant and my Dr never said anything about it and my baby was fine.

Me too! I believe it's okay, just not your back because of the artery that gets compressed.  I believe even belly is okay as long as you can stand it..

I mainly sleep on my right side! It's what's most comfortable most of the time, I'm 25w+5d
