Induction

Okay I'm going to be induced Monday , because I'm a week past due and she is not budging. Every time I have contractions they stop within a few hours or my body doesn't wanna dilate any more (currently 3cm) my question for you ladies is can you share your induction experiences with me? Everyone keeps telling me pitocin makes the contractions longer and stronger.. I'm really nervous/anxious. I would love for her to come on her own, but she's not budging and my body isn't progressing
