Would my mum be upset if I told her I was pregnant over FaceTime?

Question

As opposed to telling her face to face. She lives 1.5 hours away and we both work full time so it's hard to find the time to drive over after work. I want to tell my Mum before Thursday as we are going away for the weekend for my MIL's birthday and we plan to tell her then.

As a mom I would be upset if I didn't at least it a call or text about it before it went on Facebook.

My mum lives over 2hours away we both work full time, I rearranged my shifts and we met half way. I took my mum out for lunch. She was so happy we both cried and we spent the afternoon buying wool so she could start knitting clothes. Make the effort I don't think I will ever forget that moment!

I sent my mom and mothers in law a box with an egg is ice you break open and it announces the pregnancy on the paper stuffed inside. I told them prior to sending it and required they call or FaceTime my husband and I before opening it. They loved it. And cried lol

I told my mom over text.  Sent her a pic with 'so, this just happened'....12 years of infertility... Then she didn't respond, so I called and asked if she'd gotten my text.  She said no, so I made her go look while I was on the phone.  It made her cry.  She was so excited.

I think it all depends on your mom. My mom only lives 15 mins away from me and we text all the time every day lol I told her over text and sent her a pic. I think as long as she was the first to know she was happy haha

My mom lives 2 hours away so I don't get to see her that often with work either. I told her on her birthday by texting her a pic of positive test with "Happy Birthday GRANDMA" and then called her immediately so I was on the phone when she saw it. She was definitely excited and not upset about finding out over the phone at all.
