My baby girl was due nov. 1st, but was delivered oct. 10th via emergency c-section. She was born with fluid on her lungs and low blood sugar. It's been two weeks since I've given birth and the nurses and doctors in the NICU have not let me try to latch her on yet. She is currently on a feeding tube and oxygen because she has trouble remembering to eat and breathe at the same time.During her feeding times they will nipple her with a bottle full of the breast milk I pump for her but as soon as she starts to desat ( can't catch her breath) they put her right back on the feeding tube. I'm sad I have to leave everyday with out my baby. It's really hard this, whole process. We don't have a definite date on when she is coming home. I just want to know if it will be too late me to try to get her to latch on because we missed a certain time frame?
