Is there any hope??

Question

Just went to an elective ultrasound at 14w+4 days and tech said boy. Me and my fiance are devastated seeing as how we had our hearts set on a girl. Of course we will be happy either way but does anyone think it could be wrong? How accurate is a boy gender confirm at this stage? Has anyone's boy gender been wrong? I can upload a  potty shot but there was definitely something in between the legs. Could it have just been swollen girl parts?

I wanted a girl too but I had a beautiful baby boy and he's just amazing. I'm in love 😍 maybe we will get our girl next time!

Usually they are pretty certain if they see boy parts, but there is always a chance. I'd upload a pic. Don't worry I was pretty devastated when my 3rd was another girl lol I got over it in about a week, I had myself convinced she was a boy from conception. I wanted a girl this time and surprise a little boy!

Thats a little too early to detect gender... I was a nurse and we usually schedule ultrasound for gender at around 16-20 weeks even 16 is early but thats the time frame.

It's a bit hard to tell that early, but sometimes you can. It could be the cord. But many obs, at least mine and sisters waited until about 18 weeks for that ultrasound because there is a less chance if them guessing wrong. Usually, if you are told a boy then it it, it's being it's a girl that seems to be a little tricker, from what I've read. But post a picture anyways and maybe we can help.

I went for an early ultrasound at a place that guarantees the gender at 15 weeks and tech said she was 100% sure I was having a boy. So we went out and bought boy clothes,picked out a name and had a gender reveal party. I went in for my anatomy scan at my doctors at 20 weeks and found out we were having a girl. I now have a beautiful 5 week old little girl

I'm not sure how definite it is ! But it truly looks like a boy! We found out at 12 weeks w my son because you could just tell there was something dangling :) once you see something hanging tech said usually it's right ...
