When you have Braxton Hicks

Question

How long do they last? And how many do you usually have? And how often? And if you've been in labor (premature or full term), how long were your contractions when they started? And how often? Just out of curiosity.

Answer

With BH usually when I stand or walk for periods of time. And come on last for 30 to 40 sec and ease off.

With contraction the come on strong and last for a 1 to 2 min and ease off for about 3 min and you feel it coming back to the contraction.

This is my 3rd pregnancy my 1st I had a  eperideral but I felt some contractions in the beginning before they gave me the eperideral. My 2nd I was induce and eperideral did not work in time I felt the whole thing. Now with the pregnancy I'm going medicine free.

Answer

With my Braxton hicks (never had any preterm labor) they last about 20-30 seconds and normally only when I lay on my back. They happen every 4-5 minutes or until I switch to my side. After sex they are more frequent about once every minute but they never hurt and go away once I walk around :)
