sick and not getting better

I had to go to the hospital today because my lymph nodes on my right size on my next all swelled to the size of baseballs. at the hospital they ran my blood an said it looks like I have mono, but I don't have any of the symptoms, actually have the opposite of the symptoms. after being home for 10 hours I feel like I'm getting worst an now feel like someone is sitting on my chest and I am unable to sleep. I have slept for maybe 4 hours in the last 40 hours or so, the doctor said to come back in a month if the swelling doesn't come down, I don't know what I should do?  I also feel like a month is a long time to wait an see if there is an other issue?
