The world would be a better place if people learned to follow their own religion in peace and without forcing it onto others.

That's a very interesting question. On the one hand religion has caused countless wars and conflicts. On the other hand it has played such a major role in the development of our civilizations that I don't even know where we would be without it.

I'd have to say it would be a lot better if people didn't feel their religious beliefs should also effect the law. And if people more acknowledged that, at the end of the day, we're all just guessing and no one has the definitive answer.

I think the world would be better off without religious zealots. I see the institution of religion as a neutral force. It's what we do with it that matters. The people that can't accept any religious thought besides their own we would be better off without.

Lack of religion will not keep us from killing each other. It may even increase bad behaviors, considering you no longer have the spiritual consequence of doing wrong. In all though we're still trying to kill each other for religions. So no, I don't think it would. We'd still have rapists, murders, war, Trump, all that bad crap regardless of if it exists or not.

I'm not sure to be honest. Yes religion is the cause of many of the conflicts today but that's because there are a lot of bad people about.

The majority of religions preach peace but there are extremists in every religion that twist things to cover their own bigotry. If religion didn't exist the vile people still would and they'd just find another excuse for their actions.
