How long did it take for your period to regulate after birth control?

Did your period and body become regular again quick after birth control or did it take a few months? A year? Or is it still irregular?

Answer

I almost dropped my drink and pushed 8-9 months by accident. I meant the following month. I stopped taking the pill 4 months ago and it's always been regular,  just heavier.
