Not bleeding during peroid - is it normal or natural?

Hey everyone. 
Okay so I'm on my period (started last Thursday) and I'm not bleeding or spotting. I've had cramps or what feel like cramps, I've had some of the hormonal emotions too. Just no blood. I can rule out pregnancy. I just wanted to know if this is common with women or normal for most women to not bleed with some periods. Thanks!

I know I'm not pregnant because my husband haven't had sex for a couple weeks and we are always super careful and most of the time we end up doing oral, just to be safe. Sorry if that was TMI.
I though PMS was another term for period or it was a term for the hormones from a period. 
Maybe my body is really out of sync or something. Like I said I know I'm not pregnant but I guess for my piece of mind I should take a test.

That's not a period. Sounds like PMS. Your period is to shed the lining of your uterus. Which means there will be blood. Those also sound similar to pregnancy symptoms so I would get a hpt
