Can you actually poop while giving birth ?

I pooped with both my boys, each time the doctors were so excited because that means baby is moving on down the birth canal. So it's s good thing and well...everybody poops!

I'm a labor and delivery nurse and I've never not seen a mom poop. Most of the time they don't think they did because we're quick to clean it up. But most of the moms who say they didn't, well, they did. Just think, that big head is pushing right up against your colon, so it's bound to happen. Totally normal though, and chances are you wont know or won't care care because baby is so close! So don't be worried, it's just a part of labor, and once you have that little one in your arms it'll be the least of your worries (:

If you don't think you pooped you probably did haha everyone poops. It's not even a big deal. I'm a very private person and I didn't even care. My husband said I didn't, but I don't believe him.

This is my biggest fear I know I shouldn't worry no big deal but it is to me I didn't with my first baby hoping I don't with baby number 2 but still freaking out

Don't worry about it, you won't even know you did most likely. The nurses and doctors take care of it. No biggie.

You will poop and you won't care!  Hahaha it usually happens when you're pushing and by that time you will only care about getting that baby out healthy and soon!  Trust me, nobody there will care!  They lcean it up so quick your husband probably won't even know it happened!

My doc gave me an enema before I delivered my daughter so I don't think I pooped during labor.

Yep I was on all fours over the back of the bed apparently pooped a little but they are so quick at cleaning it up you won't even know .
