Prozac and Pregnancy
Me and my man are thinking of starting a family next year and in preparation for that I went to see my doctor to start weening myself off Prozac. (For those of you who don't know, Prozac is an antidepressant with anti-anxiety properties. I suffer from an anxiety disorder that causes me to have random panic attacks. Prozac has kept me panic attack free for years). Anyway, I was really shocked when my doctor told me Prozac won't affect my pregnancy. I'm a nurse so I'm fully aware of other medical professionals disagreeing with that.
Has anyone ever stayed on Prozac while pregnant or a similar drug? Any recommendations? Thanks.
