I don't mean to sound negative or anything, just that dilation and effacing don't really tell when labor is coming... It just happens when it happens... Sorry that's not much help. Just be prepared at any moment. :) I went to 40+2 before going into labor, and at my 40 week check I was still barely dilated and only somewhat effaced, but still managed to go into labor 2 days later and had him within 24 hours. So all my dilation took place in a single day. Good luck mama. :)

Hard to say! I was effaced and a a cm or 2 dialated at 36 weeks and had both of my girls at 37 weeks but 36 weeks was the 1st I had been checked. Then I was effaced and 3-4 cm at 30 weeks with my 3rd and I didn't have her until 34 weeks. And this guy ive been 75+ effaced and "open" since 26 weeks and I'm now almost 32 weeks and still pregnant so I don't know how much effacement actually means
