When can the ultrasound scan detect our babies?

Hi! Today's week 4 day 5 and my HCG beta is around 800. When my gynae did the transvaginal ultrasound scan, he didn't see the gestational sac. Feeling really worried and would like to check if anyone else is in the same boat or has sound advice to share? Thanks so much!

I had an ultra sound at 3 weeks simply because all of the pain I was having and I also have a couple of cysts...  they told me they wouldn't be able to see the sac until I was around 7-9 weeks 😕

Hi Gillian, my hcg this past Saturday at 5+1 was at 800. They did a transvaginal ultrasound and saw nothing but the thickening uterus lining. They said not to worry and that I was very early. Just got my second blood draw, waiting for results. But I think you're fine. :)

I agree with the above. I'm 4wks 5d with #3 and never have I been scanned before 8wks even though I'm technically high risk.

Usually they can see the heartbeat around 5000 Hcg level

This was my abdominal us at 5 weeks 1 day. We saw sacs. Waiting for my vaginal us on Friday. But we were able to see sacs at 5 weeks.

They won't be able to see anything til 6 weeks, so don't stress. Did they do two betas within 48 hours of each other?

I went into my 1st Ultra sound yesterday only because I was experiencing discomfort and bloating .  I thought I was 6wks 5 days based on my LMP. But my ultra sound showed I was only between 3-4wks. There was only the sak visable. My Hgc beta was at 3000. So im hoping to see something in about two weeks.

I was in the same boat my Hcg more then doubled so they said I should be fine but have to wait until next week for another ultrasound. The doctor did tell me you don't usually see a sac till the Hcg is at least 1000 so that made me feel a lot better!

Doc thinks mine's ectopic so I go in for a high risk scan on Thursday. The nurse told me that that (5 weeks 2 days) was the absolute earliest that they would be able to see enough. If they don't see anything then, I'm supposed to schedule again for monday.
