Long distance relationship

I've been talking to this guy for a while now and we're both mad for eachother! It's amazing, he makes me feel so good all the time and he respects my values, we're intellectually compatible And we connect on so many different levels! Our conversations are really deep and we're both very open minded and down to earth. We have a small conversation in the morning when I wake up as he's up at 5.30am. Then we don't talk throughout the day until about 5pm when he finishes working, this goes on till about 11.30 when we both go to sleep. We FaceTime when he's at home on weekends. 

We haven't met yet because of the distance between us (roughly 5 hours drive) but we are both going to make a concious effort to meet. 

He's 17, I'm 14. I know this seems quite bad for some people but I have made it clear to him that because I'm not legal to have sex with him then I won't, especially because I don't want to put his job at risk. 

He works in the military, serving GB. 

No harsh comments please, but I will respect that everyone is allowed opinions although I would like advice for long distance relationships.
