Anti depressant? ??

I have PCOS and have been on letrozole for a few months now and my dr is going to start me on metformin and a anti depressant? He says it will help with cravings and help prevent weight gain. Has anyone else been put on a anti depressant for infertility??? I'm very confused..

I wouldn't take any anti depressants while trying to get pregnant or while pregnant.  Just diet & exercise.  Just tell yourself that getting pregnant is more important than your craving the exercise will help with ovulation & depression😊. Good luck that's what I've been doing.

This is just my opinion but I would personally steer clear of an6 antidepressant unless necessary to treat depression. They have a whole slew of side effects, including sometimes weight gain (not loss). These drugs are not mild and should only ever be taken when absolutely necessary.

Is it bupropion? It totally does help with cravings, weirdly enough. It's safer than Prozac etc if you do get pregnant. I'm currently weaning off of it.
