Mucus plug?

Does the mucus plug have to have blood/pink/brown in it? Or can it just be really thick egg white type discharge? Also, how long after losing it does labour typically start?

I haven't lost mine yet but I think it's yellow or bloody never heard of it being white

Mine was like vanilla or banana pudding looking. I've had it coming out for 2-3 weeks instead of all at once. My dr said some people don't loose it all at once. But Im hoping labor is on its way

You can lose it then build another one, so it's hard to say.

Apparently you can lose it pretty far in advance to labor. I'm also a ftm 34 weeks and super nervous 😰

It generally does have blood in it, hence the other name for it "bloody show" it's typically the colour of snot
