Delayed clamping is standard at my hospital, but some doctors in other places are creatures of habit and don't want to change how they do things. Just talk to your provider.

Delayed core clamping is standard in most hospitals.
How delayed are you talking here? Most hospitals wait 45 seconds to 2 minutes(or so I've read, someone correct me if I'm wrong). But you can ask to wait as long as you'd like. You can even wait to cut the cord until it falls off on it's own (that's called a Lotus birth)!
It seems like most professionals know to wait to cut the cord until it stops pulsating and becomes limp, and that's really all that matters.
